Nothing happened today.

These are the best days.

I work in this city (see picture). Here’s what happened today:

Students showed up.

Attendance was taken.

Teaching happened.

Most paid attention. Some didn’t. A couple of them could not have cared less. Most cared very much.

Papers were checked. Grades were inputted. Parents were contacted.

Jokes between teachers were made. Conversations between maintenance were had.

Chess club was chaperoned. Robotics met up.

I drove home and made roast chicken.

It was…regular. Ordinary. Unremarkable.

These are the best days.
